Over a number of years Ornamental Gardens by Lisa did organic maintenance for my drought tolerant back yard which had many plants, a lemon tree, gardenia tree, all connected to a drip system. She was honest with the highest integrity, hard working, and extremely knowledgeable. When she became a full time landscape designer I hired her for my front yard and with taking in my needs and wants designed a beautiful front yard. She even recommended some contractors to interview and I chose one. Am now waiting for the project to begin in September - my request for starting then.

When we decided to revamp our front and back yard landscapes we had the fortunate opportunity to meet Lisa. Not only did she educate us about water-wise landscapes and rain gardens, she came to our house, set up her table and chair in both the front and the back yards and sketched her designs right there! I had a small idea of what I wanted, but after she listened to us, she designed a front yard which shows off the architecture of our house and a backyard which is people and pup friendly! Having her design our landscaping was the best decision we made. We're very happy with her work and we've had so many compliments on our yard.

Lisa was a joy to work with! We wanted a low water yard with lots of color. She planned our front and both side yards, and added 2 rain gardens of rock to catch the rain from our roof. Her plan was outstanding and her prices very reasonable. We planted in Feb, and the result is beautiful. We love it and have received many compliments from our neighbors.

Lisa is one of the best people we've ever met (Seriously!). She is kind, thoughtful, and a lot of fun. We met her at the Del Mar Home Show and asked her to help us with our backyard. She drew up several different plans and tried to meet all of our needs. Once we found a layout we liked, she helped us find fair and honest contractors to do the work (this was a big help).
During the construction, we hired her as a consultant to stop by to check on the contractor to see how the work was progressing. If issues came up, she found creative and thoughtful ways to work around them to keep the project and "vision" moving toward our goals.
In the end, she helped us to build a WONDERFUL. It's all we hoped for; it helps us live the life we want with our family in our home. Lisa is fantastic, that's all there is to it!

Lisa spent so much time with us discussing our likes and wants. She produced a detailed site plan and a few preliminary plans, followed by the final landscape plan. We were then able to get 'apples to apples' quotes from multiple landscape contractors. She worked hand in hand with the landscaper that we selected, resulting in a beautiful home that we can't wait to come back to each day. It has doubled the size of our living area. In addition, Ornamental Gardens by Lisa now performs our quarterly maintenance. Lisa's plan and supervision led to our project being completed on time and on budget. We met with several landscape designers once we made the decision to remove our beautiful front lawn and replace it with a low water, low maintenance landscape. We had always received compliments on our landscaping, and wanted to replace it with a unique design that we not only liked, but loved! Lisa listened to our ideas, creating different designs for us to review. After a couple of back-and-forth revisions, we felt very good about the design we selected. Lisa helped us find a contractor to complete the work, and stayed involved throughout the process. The final product exceeded our expectations! From the slate front porch to the accent stacked stone wall and recirculating fountain, the hardscape she designed set the background for a beautiful, colorful landscape with a variety of carefully selected plants. Based upon her work throughout the process, we decided to hire her for our ongoing quarterly maintenance as well. We would definitely recommend Lisa for landscape design and maintenance!
