A built-in barbecue was created with a sink, refrigerator, and plenty of counter space. The back of the counter has a bar height counter top for seating and conversing with the cook.
The back yard was expanded by cutting into the existing unusable hillside and creating a curved retaining wall. Stairs with flagstone were built to access the spa area. A pergola was built for shade over the spa. Peppermint trees were planted on the slope for privacy and future shade, as well as an assortment of colorful sustainable plants.
in this large built in seating area around a beautiful gas fire pit. Sea blue recycled glass adds color to the landscape. Variegated dwarf Myrtle shrubs surround the back of the seating area to provide color and a heavenly smell when they are brushed by.
A bubbling urn recirculating fountain provides a soothing sound as you relax in this lounge area.
Another view of the lounge area. Colorful pots are used to carry the blue throughout the landscape, as well as provide contrast against the orange cushions on the furniture.
Additional room was created on the side of this narrow two car driveway by integrating the walkway into the side. The arc shape on the windows is echoed in the curves of the walkway. Drought tolerant plants replaced the small lawn and provide a welcoming entry.
A curved path was created toward the entryway with pavers that are throughout the entire landscape.
